and the calm taking of the water's temperature

... exploration uncovered a modern Robinson Crusoe family, a German engineer from East Germany, a good wife from the interior of China, and their two kids, both born on their remote plot of planet earth, Melissa, and Stephen, all living by native intelligence and sustained by spirit of adventure

Solar powered some things, Wind powered other things, diesel made up the difference.

We studied their ways over a 5 hours visit, and got to know that they are amongst the very nicest of people.
