Erita can say quite a few words now, and has started to put some words together, as in "open book", "close door", "open car".

Ai Li can understand both English and Chinese sentences directing her to do whatever, and asking her for whatever preferences.

She sometimes gather people around her by taking their hands and drag the folks to a specific location, and then do same with another, until all gathered as she wished.

Sometimes, not bothering with hand dragging, she merely pat the sofa spot next to her, and call out the individual, be they family members or the pet dog Gobi, indicating where he / she / it should sit.

She still likes her books and flash cards, and can now identify about half of the cards, including turtle, owl, and koala bear (as opposed to simply bear).
